Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-13

1. Who this is for

These Terms apply to every account that signs into FinXteam — owners running the workspace, internal staff invited by the owner, and external reviewers (CPA, accountant, advisor) accepting an invitation to view or propose changes.

By creating an account or accepting an invitation, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the product.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password (or OAuth identity) safe. We never store plaintext passwords; we hash them with argon2 before they touch the database.

You agree to give us accurate contact information and to keep it current. Inviting another person to your workspace means you stand behind their access on your behalf until you revoke it.

We can suspend or close any account that misuses the product, breaks the law, or harms other users.

3. Your data

You own your financial data. We process it on your behalf to give you bookkeeping, reconciliation, reporting, and tax features. We do not sell it.

Workspace owners are the controllers for everything posted in their workspace. External reviewers see only what the owner has granted them; their access can be ended at any time.

We retain financial records for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law. After that we delete or anonymize them on a scheduled cadence.

4. What the AI does and doesn't do

FinXteam is a software product, not a CPA firm, accounting firm, tax preparer, or law firm, and using it does not create a professional-client relationship.

FinXteam uses machine-learning models to categorize transactions, suggest adjustments, flag risks, and draft reports. Everything the agents produce is a review-ready draft — a suggestion, not advice.

You and your invited CPA are responsible for reviewing AI-generated proposals before they post to your books, and for all final books, filings, and professional decisions. We don't guarantee that any AI output is correct, complete, or suitable for your tax filings.

Where sales-tax filing workflows are supported, they run only on the jurisdictions you enable and only after you or your authorized reviewer approve them — FinXteam does not submit filings autonomously.

For anything that requires a licensed professional opinion — tax positions, regulatory filings, audit defense — consult your accountant or attorney.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use FinXteam to launder money, evade taxes, commit fraud, or hide criminal activity. Don't attempt to break in, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.

Don't upload anyone else's data without their permission. Don't share an invitation link with someone it wasn't meant for.

6. Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. You can cancel at any time; your access continues through the end of the paid period and then stops.

We don't refund partial periods. We do refund obvious overcharges (double-billing, billing after cancellation).

7. Service & uptime

We aim for high availability but we don't promise zero downtime. We schedule maintenance windows when we can and write about them in our changelog when we can't.

We can change features, retire features, or introduce limits. We will announce material changes by email or in-product banner at least 30 days before they apply to paying customers.

8. Liability

FinXteam is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent allowed by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes get notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
